No, I don’t think so, that looks matter. Personally I don’t judge any person by his/her looks.
As we are living in a society where the personality/individuality of a person is measured by his/her looks.
So, most of the people have same question…that “does look matters?” I think it’s a common query for all and many youngsters have this query because some of them have been rejected by their 'loved ones' just for their external looks or values.
But you know that what looks actually means?.. Its just a external appearance of a person. Its just a show-off of branded and expensive, clothing, watches, shoes, etc. Its just a show of well settled hair style and having a luxury car. Its just a show-off of rich attire.
And I think that all these things doesn’t matters, that matters is a personality/individuality of a person. Sorry, sorry, sorry most of the people consider personality as look only. They believe that any person is good looking for his clothes and external appearance only, is his personality. But this is false perception, “ personality means an individuality of a person it contains your uniqueness, it contains many traits.” There are billions of people and they all have their unique personalities. So don’t consider personality word as “look”.
Its very common, when somebody is well dressed & groomed; people says that he have an good personality. But it is not, you are judging him on his external appearance only by looking for few seconds. You can't judge a person on his external value and consider it as his personality.
In a certain city, there lived a poet who was very philosophical and renowned. He is not a rich man and led a very simple life. A very wealthy businessman living in the same city, was getting his daughter married in a 7 star hotel. With great pomp and grandeur. And he also invited the poet to attend the wedding, alongside the prominent, wealthy and elite guests from the city. On the day of wedding the businessman and his family were personally receiving the guests at the lobby of the hotel and ushering them towards the wedding venue. All the wealthy people of the city who had come were wearing expensive, branded clothing.
When the poet arrived, dressed in very simple and non expensive clothes as always. He waited in a corner for someone to approach him. Forget about approaching no one even acknowledge his presence. Even the merchant didn’t pay any attention and pretended as if he hadn’t seen him. The poet quietly walked away and went to a close by shop where he could hire good clothes. He chose a very high end, expensive, rich , elegant dress and as he put on the hired dress and looked into the mirror. He was amazed to see his transformed, changed Royal look. When, the now elegant looking poet come back to the venue. He was given a grand welcome. The merchant hugged him, treating him with great love and respect exactly as he would treat his own friends and kept appraising his dressing sense. After introducing the Poet to all those present, the merchant led him to the dining area while still praising his poetry, maturity and wisdom. He made the poet sit in a very prominent place. the food was being served in expensive, fine crockery and cutlery and the merchant lovingly served, the meal to the poet with his own hands.
And then something strange happened. Instead of eating the meal , the poet started dipping the corner of his coat in the soup. He sprinkled a part of rice on his trouser. Addressing his own clothes, he said “this is a feast for you my dear clothes. You guys should enjoy it ” All the guests were surprised at this weird behavior. Finding this bizarre, the host asked the port, “what are you doing dear sir? How can your clothes eat? The poet very quickly and calmly replied; my dear friend, I am little astonished that you are asking me thus question? Aren’t you the same person who conveniently ignored me when I arrived here dressed up in simple clothes? I think its my dress, my looks, my attire, my appearance that you value more than me. Now that I have put on these expensive clothes. I see a world of difference in the way that I am treated here by. I thought that everything that I received here was for my looks and for my clothes and therefore the food should also be served to my clothes.”
The embarrassed businessman had learnt his lesson and seeking forgiveness he offered his heartfelt apologize to the poet.
So now we came to know that our worth is measured based on external appearance only.
I request to you that please accept the people, who they are, for their personality not for their looks and appearance. And please don’t change your appearance or external value for anybody because changes if they are accepting you for bring changes in your externals, so my dear they are not the one for you.
In last few months my personality have profoundly changed. Now used to do that things which I haven’t done before. But it’s not bring by anyone or for anyone , it’s just for myself only. So if you want to bring changes in yourself, change your personality not your externals.
Personality begins where comparison leaves off. Be unique. Be memorable. Be confident. Be proud
